We're building Neighbors Light to serve people in Norman, Oklahoma who need more support than shelters alone provide. Our programs will offer the structure, time, and comprehensive care needed to help individuals transition from crisis to lasting independence.
Neighbors Light offers a complete continuum of care that works together to create a pathway from crisis to stability.
A safe, structured environment during the day where individuals will be able to access resources, connect with case managers, and begin building routines that support recovery and stability.
30–180 Days
A stable living environment that gives residents the time and support they need to address barriers, build skills, and prepare for independent living.
A healing space for individuals who are medically stable but not yet ready to return to shelter or independent living, allowing them to recover with dignity and appropriate support.
Job skills, resume building, interview preparation, and connections to local employers, creating pathways to sustainable employment and financial independence.
Referral-based, not walk-in
Time-limited, goal-oriented stays
Designed for people shelters cannot serve alone
Neighbors Light is currently in the launch phase. Services are being developed and will begin as partnerships, facilities, and funding are secured. Updates and verified impact metrics will be shared publicly.
Our structured process outlines how participants will be supported as Neighbors Light begins serving the community.
Partner agencies and case managers identify individuals who would benefit from Neighbors Light services and submit a referral on their behalf.
Our intake team will review each referral to ensure we can meet the individual's needs and that our services align with their goals.
Accepted participants meet with our team to complete enrollment, establish expectations, and begin building trust and connection.
Together, we create a personalized plan that addresses immediate needs, builds on strengths, and sets achievable goals.
As participants gain stability and skills, we support their transition to permanent housing, employment, and ongoing community connections.
We're currently in the launch phase, building the foundation, partnerships, and resources needed to begin serving individuals who require extended support, medical recovery space, and structured pathways to independence.
